Sparks in Motion: Our First Community Walk with LAP Coffee in Berlin

Sparks in Motion: Our First Community Walk with LAP Coffee in Berlin

On a chill Sunday a couple of weeks ago, we tried something new – and a little simpler. No workshops, no big agenda. Just good people, good conversation, and a shared stroll through the city.

In collaboration with LAP Coffee, we kicked off our very first Sparks Community Walk at their Raumerstraße location in Prenzlauer Berg. Our guests – a curated group of creative singles – met for delicious drinks and a slow start into the day. Some came with friends, some came solo, but everyone came curious.

A New Kind of Meet-Cute

From LAP Coffee, we wandered through the neighborhood, letting the city set the pace. With no pressure and no strict format, connections unfolded naturally – supported by our Candid Connections conversation cards. We stopped for moments of conversation, swapped recommendations, and gradually made our way to Volkspark Friedrichshain.

The walk wasn’t about matchmaking in the traditional sense – it was about movement, flow, and letting real connection happen in real life.

Slower, Softer, Realer

In a world of dating apps and fast swipes, it felt refreshing to just… walk. To talk face-to-face. To connect without filters or the pressure to perform. This was the kind of event we’ve been craving more of: low-key, high-vibe, and open to whatever unfolds, and our guests seemed to love it as much as we did.

The Beginning of Something New

This walk wasn’t just a one-off – it was part of something we’ve been quietly building behind the scenes. At Sparks, we’re constantly exploring new formats that reflect how people actually want to meet: more natural, more creative, more real.

We’re listening closely to what our community craves – and shaping every next step with that in mind. This was just one version of what connection can look like. And we promise, there's much more to come. A big thank you to LAP Coffee for supporting us on our journey and our lovely guests for their openness, engagement and curiosity.
